The Visa: The Plan
In 2019, my parents were granted a two-year multi-entry visit visa for Canada. After years
apart, they planned to meet my sister in Vancouver.
My Father’s Final Words
On 20th February 2020, before departing from Lahore to Islamabad, I spoke with my father, Haji Jamal Din, on a video call. The next day, 21st February 2020, tragedy struck when he suffered a fatal heart attack just before immigration in Vancouver.

✈️ My Journey in 2024
Four years later, on 16th August 2024, I finally traveled on a direct PIA flight from Islamabad to Toronto, continuing to Vancouver to reunite with my sister.
Vancouver Memories:
• Paid respects at my father’s grave at Chilliwack Cemetery
• Explored University of Fraser Valley in Abbotsford
• Enjoyed traditional Punjabi food at Ustaad G76
• Hiked to the scenic Bridal Veil Falls On 24th August, I visited my father’s grave once more before departing.
Toronto Experiences
In Toronto, I stayed in the Admiral Inn hotel, Mississauga and company with my university friends Waqas Qureshi and Attique Yousuf. Together we:
• Explored CN Tower in Downtown Toronto
• Shared a midnight Pakistani breakfast

• Witnessed the breathtaking Niagara Falls, an unforgettable experience
Closing Reflections
This trip was more than travel—it was healing, a tribute to my father, and a reminder of his timeless wisdom. I now look forward to revisiting Canada again, this time with my family
