Year 1 delivers six taught modules (60 ECTS) covering research design, AI-driven curriculum and assessment, generative AI in education, AI innovation and leadership, ethics and governance, and the doctoral research proposal. Year 2 (60 ECTS) covers the proposal defence, thesis progression, and research engagement, and Year 3 (60 ECTS) culminates in thesis submission, presentation, and the viva voce examination.
Entry requires a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Candidates are selected on the strength of their academic background and research interest in artificial intelligence and education, alongside their motivation to undertake doctoral-level research.
